Streamlined Kits icon visual bug

On Engineer, if you play with the trait Streamlined Kits, there is a bug with the buff icon on your effects bar. The icon will ALWAYS show if you swap in the trait, even if you've triggered it shortly before. The bug is just visual, even though you see the buff on your bar, you can't proc it if it is still on the internal cooldown. You can easily replicate this by equipping the Streamlined Kits trait, proc it by swapping a kit out of combat, and swap out the trait and then quickly trait it again.

This doesn't seem very annoying, but this bug also happens if you play with the Streamlined Kits trait and you get downed and rezzed. When you get rezzed, you also ALWAYS have the visual Streamlined Kits buff icon, even though it might be still on its internal cooldown. Swapping kits doesn't remove the buff icon if you don't actually proc it. If the actual cooldown is finished, and you proc it, the icon will disappear and from there on it will behave normally.

I really enjoy playing Engineer in raids, but this bug pretty much makes it impossible to recover from a downed state because it's really hard to regain track of this trait. Since playing Engineer is already really hard in raids, it's very hard to, when this happens, pay attention to when, after a rez, the traits get procced because you swap kits all the time, and the buff won't go away, and then suddenly it's gone and you've missed it, 'caused there's so much other stuff to pay attention too.

The bug is extremely easy to recreate, as far as I can tell, it's 100% consistent.


Glyph Of Alchemy + Harvesting nodes

So, is this working as designed? If I place a Glyph of Alchemy on my Harvesting tool, when I harvest Cloth/Leather Synthesizers in WvW or in Guild Halls, I get back plants of some sort. The idea is the glyph is supposed to give you a higher ranked result when you harvest Herb or Vegetables. But I don't think it should be giving plants when harvesting Cloth or Leather.

Astra III destroyer heat not dropping

Did megadestroyer for the astralaria collection destroyer heat and got dc as the boss was killed (you know the one when the game doesnt kick you out right away and make sure you hear the chat and see the boss getting killed but non of your skills trigger anymore and you know ur going to be dc) so i log back in and ofc didnt get my quartz vial upgraded to destroyer heat. Waiter 3 hours for the next MD did the pre's and killed MD again no lag whatsoever smooth kill. Still didnt get destroyer heat collection. Getying frustrating. Did the game bug on me since i dc while the boss was getting killed the last time. Help anet.
Ps filed a ticket already. Waiting dor response... Sad

Story Cut-scenes with no sound effects?

A while back I noticed cut-scenes had no sound at all. Turned out that was an engine problem that tied cut-scene volume to the base volume slider, which I had at 5%.

Now I have noticed that cut-scenes have music, but no sound effects. When something epic is happening, and you expect some sort of loud crash... nothing. Just cool art, and awkward music. Is this a bug on my part, or a lack of funding on anets part when making these cut-scenes?

EDIT: So I watched some youtube videos of the same cutscenes, and the sound in them is way more present than in mine. I dont get whats wrong with my game that my cutscenes have no sound effects, while still having music, meanwhile my game is loud as kitten in every way.

Was doing PvP this evening, when Colosseum was chosen. As soon as I entered, my Windows kept popping up an error message on the side of the screen until my game locked up. Application has been Blocked from accessing Graphics Hardware: Application Gw2-64.exe has been blocked from accessing Graphics Hardware. Now this message didn't just pop once. Every time I closed it, it popped up again, and did so six times before it locked up my system, kicked me out of the game and gave me a black screen. Had to reboot. Was doing fine in every other arena, until this one, then everything went wacko.

Guardian Great sword "Leap Of Faith" Healing not functioning properly

Per the description the skill is supposed to heal you for every target hit with the maximum number of targets being 5, well I have every possible combination of attacks against large mobs and I have never received more healing than I would get off of a single target. This leads me to question is the Leap of Faith skill not actually targeting more than one target or is the healing portion of the skill not functioning properly

[WvW/PvE] Warclaw and other Mounts Weaver bug

There's a bug with Warclaw while playing Weaver, sometimes helpful, but more often annoying because u remember what attuns u were on and then it ends up your skills are a lil bit different.
It happens when you switch elements and then mount up. You get 1-2 and 4-5 skills from one attun and 3rd (dual) skill from both attuns.

Feedback - Terrible performance on Istan

I decided to create this topic for two reasons: to give some feedback to devs and to gather a bit more information, in order to confirm that this is not an isolated issue.

Also keep in mind that my grammar is far from 100% correct, still learning english - however I'm doing my best to make it as readable as possible.

So about the feedback to GW2 devs - I think you got a bit too carried away when making the new Living World map, Istan. I know that you want to go very big, create these massive locations for players, make mounts even more natural etc etc. That's perfectly fine with me. But after playing on Istan for a couple of minutes, and then spending twice as much time in the options menu, all I can say is - the performance is just terrible.

Guild Wars 2 chugs when I'm trying to explore this location. I have 2 fairly powerful PCs with different configurations in my home - none of them are able to keep reasonable framerate on this map. Turning the camera around my character in Astralarium reduces the game to powerpoint slide show even at lowest settings. Updating drivers, turning off unnecessary apps in the background - nothing like that works either. I know that i5-4670K or R9 290 are electronics that already have a few years, but I still fully expect them to get at least unshaken 30 frames per second on lowest possible details. Especially since exactly the same computers are perfectly able to run newest games at medium/high at 60 FPS.

You guys need to think next time where is the line between getting more fireworks and sacrificing too much performace. I dunno, ask the Kodan so they could teach you about Balance or something.

And now the question to the community here - I've already asked multiple times on map chat and it seems like many people are experiencing the same problem on Istan (with my favourite comment being "So what, 10 FPS is the true cinematic experience, right?"), but would be nice to know if members of this forum also have similar issues.

I got used to some performance drops in this game, but so far those were appearing under specific circumstances or in small parts of the map. Istan took this problem to a completely new level.

Action Camera and targeted teleports not teleporting when facing away

So I made a thief and as a controller player, I basically won't be able to play thief on action camera. If your reticule is facing even slightly off from your target, then your teleport (eg. Infiltrator's strike, flanking strike) will not register to the target and won't work. In flanking strikes case, it goes away from the target.

Can we please get this changed/fixed?

Storyline Disconnects [merged]

Arenanet really needs to sort out the disconnects either during or at the end of most storylines. For many people they cant spend 6 hours just trying to get through one piece of the storyline. This should be near to the top of their agenda to patch or reconnect at the point you lost connection for most it is tiresome and frustrating. No doubt if it was an exploit, patch would be incoming asap

6 times today I have tried to complete 'The Departing' all connections lost very near to the end when about to open door to portal.I have tried reducing FPS, performance, quality and adding arenanet to the host file to no avail.

Update I threw the last dice and deleted my Gw2 game cache in the Appdata folder and FINALLY was able to complete this part of the storyline :)

Foghaven->Garrison-Dolyak on Green Borderlands broken

Sooner or later during a matchup, the Dolyak that travels from the Foghaven Camp to the Garrison will get stuck in the south-eastern door. AFAIK, this only happens on the green border, never on the blue one.

Once the Dolyak gets there it will just freeze until an enemy kills it. Would be nice if this could get fixed.

Achievement: Glorify the golden heart - Dominant Royal Onyx not obtained

I tried the glorify the golden heart achievement today but got stuck at the earth orb. I had everything in my inventory that was necessary (Amalgamated gemstone). I can interact with the orb but can't get the dominant royal onyx (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dominant_Royal_Onyx). I got all the other gems tho at the other orbs. I tried to interact with other orbs, tried two different characters (both with amalgamated gemstones), a relog, different positions in front of the orb but nothing helped.
I tried with a group and without. I put my amalgamated back into the bank and out again. I put the amalgamated in different bags of my inventory. I tried it with my thief and with my necromancer infight and out fight. I killed all the earth-elementals beneath the orb. I don't know what I can do to additionally.
Now I'm stuck and can't get the funerary armor chest and subsequent the achievement.

For some reason, I'm unable to destroy the 3rd tower for this quest. I know it was a bug a few months ago, but apparently it's been fixed already 3-4 patches ago according to some people. It's my 2nd time doing the quest, and it's still happening.

Copy/paste issue from equipment template

I like to copy/paste my builds into my own notes outside of the game, or the ocassional paste into discord or youtube. The problem at the moment is, copy/pasting from BUILD TEMPLATES is fine, but copy/pasting from EQUIPMENT TEMPLATE is broken and does not work outside of the game. Am I mistaken that equipment templates do not generate a code and only build templates do? If they are supposed to generate their own paste code, please take a look at it thanks.
To be clear:

  • Store Build Template / Copy Build Template <-- works in game
  • Copy Equipment Template / Paste Equipment Template <-- works in game

  • Copy Build Template <-- works outside of game for pasting template code

  • Copy Equipment Template <-- does not generate template code for pasting outside of game

Does copying from Build Template include both build&equipment template for pasting outside of game? If so then this post can be ignored. It's just a little confusing with all the internal copy/paste seperation from build/equipment template.

Can't optain Spirit Strings from Itzel Spirit Poison

I killed KC 3 times this WE and cant optain my Spirit Strings..... First time I activated them mid fight, 2nd time before and 3rd time also before... whats wrong devs?

Almorra's Directive not removed after completion

Hi there

in the process of aquiring the Skyscale we're supposeed to talk to Almorra to receive a buff that counts kills, Almorra's Directive. I received the buf on two characters and did the kills I had to do. On one character the buff vanished, on the other character I still have it even after fully unlocking the Skyscale in the mean time.

I dont know if it's a bug really but I would love the option to remap the mouse scroll down and up.
I would personally use it to target, down for nearest enemy and up for last enemy.

Hope it will get available in the future!
